My Story

I’m Julia, an artist and designer based just outside Manchester, close to the Peak District National Park. I love living in the countryside, the calm, the quiet, and the kind of space that lets ideas breathe. It also means long walks with my dog and my cat, reigning quietly over the garden.

I started CraftyWolf by Iulia in 2020, just before the world slowed down. At the time, I was completing my Master’s degree in Architecture. During those long months indoors, I found myself returning to yoga, a period of rediscovery, of reconnecting with who I was.

I began drawing what I felt during my practice. The stillness, the emotion, the grounding. Somehow, those feelings resonated. My Etsy shop grew quickly, and after reaching 1,000 sales, I took the leap and created my own website.

Not long after finishing my degree, I felt the need for change: sunshine, the sea, something new. So I took the leap and moved to Barcelona, a dream I had carried for years. I learnt how to run my business from a new country, sending packages all over the world with Correos and attempting conversations at the post office with very questionable Spanish and a hopeful smile. It was humbling,
occasionally chaotic, but deeply rewarding. Barcelona will always be part of me.

I later returned to the UK to complete my postgraduate architectural studies. After nearly ten years studying architecture and several years working in practice, much of it in healthcare design, I gained a deep appreciation for how thoughtfully designed spaces can support people’s wellbeing and mental health.

My transition into designing wellness spaces wasn’t accidental; it was organic. It grew from my own practice, my architectural training, and my belief that design should support how we feel.

I’ve always wanted to help people build brands that truly mean something, brands that feel aligned and personal.

I don’t believe a brand stops at a logo. The experience of the space matters too. Art, brand, and environment should work together to create something cohesive and meaningful.

I began with art. Now, I’m expanding into something broader, and it feels exactly right.

If you’ve read this far and something in my story resonates with you, I’d love to work together. No big corporate layers, just a thoughtful collaboration, like working on something meaningful with a friend. Together, we can shape your vision into something intentional and lasting.

Looking forward to
hearing from you and working together.

Lots of love,

Julia
